Welcome Boris
We got another cat. He was from IOW and was at Petsmart. He’s a black altered male. And oddly shaped. His head is much larger than his body. His tail is extremely skinny. His ears are huge. The fur is kind of like a Rex, or what I imagine it would be like. The ears and thickness (yet shortness) of his fur match the description. He is quiet (mostly). Lucy is… well, not happy that there is another cat in the house. But we’re hoping she comes around.
Groovy thing is that Boris is a lap cat. He sleeps on my side of the bed (though two furnaces make for a hot sleeping arrangement), but I miss Lucy at the foot of the bed. It’s only been a few days, so I’m sure she’ll come back.
She still follows me around in the morning though she pauses and hisses if he gets too close to her. She hasn’t hurt him, or at least hasn’t that I’ve seen, so that’s good. He’s so laid back, I think he might just take it.
He seems kind of slow compared to Lucy. I’m not sure if that’s his laidbackness or what. I just might be spoiled with Lucy’s sharpness. He’s a curious creature, so that’s good. And pauses when I say no, though looks at me like “What? No what?”
The grey stray came around and Boris just looked at him. The grey swatted at the screen and Boris continued to watch him. No hissing or anything. But Lucy hissed. Even from afar. That’s my girl!
